Puff and Pencil Panel Dress
Buy the Panel Dress sewing pattern from Puff and Pencil. This mid-calf length dress has side panels with ties which allow you to adjust the fit. It has a keyhole opening at the back neck and a slit in the centre back. The dress can be made with or without topstitching.
The Panel Dress is sleeveless, but it can be made with long sleeves by purchasing the Panel Dress & Cone Sleeve pattern bundle here.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces are divided across two A0 sheets. The sheets will need to be joined with no overlap.
Suggested fabrics: This pattern is designed for woven fabrics. If you want a crisp look, choose a fabric that doesn't drape too softly. For a more elegant and feminine look, opt for a fabric with a nice drape. Fabrics such as poplin, woven viscose, and cotton twill work well for this dress.
Fabric requirements:
135 cm (53") wide fabric: 175 - 240 cm (2 - 2 3/4 yd).
145 cm (57") wide fabric: 145 - 240 cm (1 3/4 - 2 3/4 yd).
Sizing: XXS – XXL (approx. UK 6 – 22/24, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: 50 cm (1/2 yd) of interfacing; topstitching thread (optional).
